Morning: 2 tablespoons pellet mix (Zupreem) in the food dish Afternoon: fresh chopped veggies (carrots, broccoli, leafy greens — NO avocado, NO onion) Fresh water daily in the clip-on bottle Millet spray as treat: small piece every other day
Out-of-cage time: 2-3 hours daily in the living room (close all windows and doors first) Supervise at all times — he likes to chew on cables Mist him with a spray bottle 2-3 times a week for feather health
Cover cage with the dark cloth at 8:00 PM — he needs 10-12 hours of sleep Uncover at 7:00 AM Clean cage liner every 2 days, full cage clean weekly Keep room between 65-80°F — no drafts
Screams at sunset — this is normal flock calling, it lasts about 10 minutes Does not like hands approaching from above — always approach from the side Loves mirrors but limit mirror time to prevent bonding with his reflection
No known allergies. Keep away from Teflon/non-stick cookware fumes (toxic to birds)
